My name is Sokie and I am a superhero {insert cheesy smile}!
My choice of weapon is my sidekick a.k.a my personal monstAr in the shape and form of a camera. Together, we transform beautiful candid moments into everlasting memories. Yes, you can only imagine all the giddiness, excitement and craziness he has to endure with me, hehe. And yes, he is a "he", his name is Mark the 3rd. He travels with me, EVERYWHERE! Our goal in life is to save people from memory loss. We hope to do this by capturing all of life's precious moments and preserving them for generations to come.

While I love "shooting", I love the art behind every photograph - from the angle of the shot, to the lighting and than, to the post-processing. I'm always excited to show the final masterpiece! It certainly is very rewarding to see how each photo has transformed through this process! I also love the connection I make with my clients. I have been so blessed to have worked with some of the most loveliest individuals on this planet! Every session is packed with fun and excitement. There is nothing more I want than to make my clients feel completely comfortable in every shooting environment and to create timeless memories for everyone I "shoot" for - for they are my inspiration!
Five random facts about yours truly:
1. I naturally have a crooked smile BUT that does NOT stop me from smiling, excessively. :)
2. I love shooting in natural light but am finally starting to appreciate the "art of flash"! It has been a long time coming! Hehe!
3. "Happy Accidents" is my favourite movie, and "The Time Traveler's Wife" is my favourite book. Yes, I have a thing for time travelers/traveling.
4. I nearly fell off a cliff to my death while trying to capture the beauty of the Niagara Escarpment. Yes, the life of photographer can be quite dangerous. Good thing, I like to live dangerously! ;)
5. I had a passion for photography since grade 10. I remember being that girl who carried a film camera with her at all times. I have boxes of photos from high school, possibly more than anyone I know. :)
